Senate Makes New Committee Assignments
New Senators Egan, Coghill get seats
(ANCHORAGE) – Senate President Gary Stevens (R-Kodiak) today announced new committee assignments in the State Senate. Newly appointed Senator-designate John Coghill (R-North Pole) will sit as a member of the Judiciary Committee and the Ethics Committee. Senator Dennis Egan (D-Juneau), who was sworn in in April, will take a position on the Legislative Council. He takes the seat vacated by his predecessor, Senator Kim Elton. Finally, Senator Fred Dyson (R-Anchorage) was named as a member of the Joint Armed Services Committee.
